I hate to mention it but I am describing my first cycle ride - sixty years ago!
There is much about my early rides to High Beach back in the early Fifties illustrated by my photos which were taken then. I am amazed at how good a photographer I was when just a teenager. Though I used a basic camera and perhaps not all are perfectly focussed, they are perhaps a record of interest to some.
And although these are personal memories I couldn't help but incorporate a little bit of history and knowledge into the article. |
